THE 1NE COFFEE TABLE

MORE INFO +

1NE COFFEE TABLE was designed using digital fabrication technologies and developed in collaboration with Stephanie Luna and Valeria Geyne. The design centers around its porcelain column stools, which informed both the form and function of the table. The table itself has a simple construction, using a rectangular wooden surface cut to agreed-upon dimensions. CNC fabrication was used to cut half-circle forms from the wood, which were then repurposed as the table’s legs.

The legs attach through custom 3D-printed joints inspired by Eileen Gray’s humanistic, organic, yet technical design language. These joints take the form of large blue, blob-like connectors that hold the legs at an angle for maximum structural support. The porcelain column stools function as both decorative and practical elements, as they can be rearranged and used as modular side tables or additional seating.

The 1NE coffee table is also inspired by Issey Miyake’s concept of one-cloth clothing. The 1NE line follows a similar philosophy: one material, minimal cuts, and maximum design impact.
